I love painting Custodes. The models are large with great detail and so drybrushing with washing is a great way to paint them really quickly.
In the video above I paint an Allarus Terminator by just drybrushing, washing and doing some detail work. It’s super simple and gives an interesting black with shades and highlights, but without edge highlighting.
My own Custodes are grimdark bronze
I play Custodes myself, for a long time now. I have my army painted in a brutal grimdark paintscheme that is bronze with purple accents and golden weapons.

Grimdark Solar Watch maybe?
Not a fan of black or bronze? Maybe the Solar Watch is for you! Lucky for you I have a video on painting thas as well. I got a jetbike in a grimdark style. Not slapchop, but more my simple grimdark style with some enamel paints such as Streaking Grime and Rust Streaks.
