Slapchop Cadian shocktroop painting

Cadian soldiers might just be the easiest models to paint in a fast slapchop way. In this video I'm just using contrast paints and a little drybrush to make him look decent enough for the table top.

This video is really for beginner painters that still want a good looking army on the tabletop. I use basic techniques and only a handful of paints to get a good enough result.

As a beginner you can get these paints and get a whole army painted without breaking the bank. And the techniques are simple enough that you won’t spend months painting a 2000 point army.

Different Cadian paint schemes

Now, I paint many different paint schemes. If you don’t want just one uniform for all your troopers, then maybe the next video is good for you.

Over here I paint 5 Cadians, with basic techniques (slapchop), but in different colours and ways, so you can have a more mixed squad of troopers.

That gives the unit so much more character than when they all have the same uniform. It’s a different approach to painting your Warhammer army. Most people just want one paint scheme and apply that to their whole army.

I prefer more variety. Not just because I think it looks better, but also because it’s more engaging to paint a bunch of different things. I think I would get bored painting 60 or 120 Cadian troopers all the exact same way.
